Time Up For Coal?

Britain was the first country to set up a coal based power plant. However, despite this, it has gone without coal fired electricity for a week since the Industrial revolution in the 19th century. As renewable energy sources like solar and wind become more viable and enter the system at an increasing pace, coal fuelled power plants will be completely phased out by 2025. This is a part of the country’s efforts to meet it’s carbon emission commitments and reduce air pollution.
