The Trade War

China and the U.S have had an ongoing trade war for several months now. Donald Trump, the president of the United States, yesterday said that he was in no hurry to sign a trade deal with China. In fact, Washington imposed a new set of tariffs (taxes) on 200$ worth of Chinese goods! It increased the tariffs from 10% to 25%, putting the financial markets in turmoil.

In response to this, China’s commerce ministry has said it is preparing to take countermeasures but no further details have been given.

    I think the tariffs will affect the relationship quite a lot since trade is the primal binding between countries and these tariffs affect the trade. This was an interesting article
