Dimming Hopes To Fly Again

The senior most executives of Jet Airways have resigned, further reducing hopes that the airline will be able to fly again. The CEO, Vinay Dube and CFO, Amit Agarwal have left the company citing personal reasons. Jet Airways has not announced replacements for the two top officials. Several pilots have also left and the flying routes are being used by other airlines. The company is seeking $ 1.2 billion to tide over the financial difficulties it is facing.

Etihad Airways, which owns 24% of the airline has offered to infuse rs1400 crores keeping its stake at current level. This is not enough to revive the company.
