Minister in a Fix

Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief minister of Maharashtra has been put in a bit of a spot after the Supreme court asked a Nagpur court to reopen a complaint against him. He has been charged with showing false affidavits during the election (affidavit is a written document that shows all your vital information during the elections).

In this case, Fadnavis did not disclose the fact that he had past criminal charges against him, which is vital for a candidate to disclose. The two charges are- defamation (false accusations of others that can affect their reputation) and a regular criminal case. All opposition parties are demanding that he not be allowed to run in the re elections, but BJP firmly states that the SC has implied nothing as such and he will continue to run as a candidate.

What do you think? Will Fadnavis continue his term next year? Comment down below…
