Ayodhya Verdict

The Ayodhya land dispute is an age-old debate amongst the Indian people. It revolves around a piece of land in the city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, India. The land is said to be the Birthplace of the Hindu deity, Rama. However, later in history a mosque built by Mughal Emperor Babur, the “Babri Masjid” was built on the same plot. Years later people speculate of whether a temple or mosque should be constructed, to keep both parts of the community happy. The previous verdict by the Allahabad High court led to horrific riots and chaos in the country and the case was passed on to the Supreme court. The verdict will be announced by the supreme court on Saturday, 9th November 2019 at 10:30.

The entire country is bracing itself for the impact of the much awaited verdict. The Railway police, Mumbai police and security forces all over India are on high alert. Schools and colleges are shut in Uttar Pradesh and common people are being warned to stay indoors. 4000+ paramilitary forces have been deployed in Ayodhya and the situation is being monitored by drones.
